Read the listing’s sizing system first
A shoe listing may use EU, UK, US or a length-based size label. Even within one system, fit can vary by model and construction. Check whether the chart refers to foot length, insole length, an internal measurement or an outsole measurement. Those figures describe different things and should not be substituted for one another.
Keep the seller’s size chart and the exact option label with your order notes. If the source chart and imported selector disagree, resolve the mismatch before payment. Do not rely on a universal conversion table or another buyer’s usual size to settle an unclear listing. A conversion can help interpret labels, but it does not prove the fit of the product being sold.
Read any model-specific instructions about width, lining, fit or recommended allowance. Ask for clarification when a chart does not define its measurement. This guide does not prescribe one universal amount of extra space: the appropriate allowance depends on the model, intended use and the seller’s measurement method.
Make measurements that can be compared
Measure both feet under consistent conditions and keep the larger relevant measurement for comparison. Stand naturally with the type of socks you intend to wear. Record the heel-to-longest-toe length and, where the seller provides useful width guidance, the relevant width. Use the seller’s stated method when it is available rather than combining incompatible measurement techniques.
A comfortable pair you already own can provide a second reference, especially if its construction is similar. However, a removable insole measurement is not automatically equal to usable internal space or foot length. Note how the reference was measured and compare like with like. A tape placed around a curved edge will not produce the same result as a straight measurement.
Record units explicitly. Confusing millimeters, centimeters and inches can produce a large error, while rounding can matter near a boundary. If your measurement falls between two options, ask for the model-specific recommendation and consider how the shoes will be used. Do not present a larger size as a guaranteed fix for uncertain width or shape.
Order the exact pair and preserve the specification
Select the required color, size label, model and quantity in the buying interface. Confirm that the order is for a pair and that the pictured variant matches the chosen option. A main listing photo may represent a different color or edition from the selected SKU. Save the source URL, chart, option text and any seller clarification before payment.
Use order notes for an objective requirement that can be checked, such as requesting confirmation of the listed size label. A note cannot change a seller’s stock or guarantee a particular fit. If the required measurement is not available before ordering, recognize that uncertainty and review the current return conditions rather than assuming a later exchange will be possible.
Plan the cost of the whole purchase. Product price and China domestic delivery belong to the purchasing stage; international shipping is assessed later for the packed parcel. Shoe boxes and protective packaging can affect its dimensions. A low product price does not establish a low delivered cost.
Inspect both shoes in the warehouse photos
Begin with identity and completeness. Check that there are two shoes, that their size labels agree with the order and each other, and that the color and model match the selected variant. Inspect the pair from the front, side, heel and outsole where those views are available. Differences in camera angle can affect apparent symmetry, so seek a clearer view before concluding that a pair is mismatched.
Look for visible damage, separated seams, loose stitching, stains, obvious glue marks and deformation. Compare heel alignment, sole shape, eyelets and closures. A cosmetic mark and a structural concern may require different decisions. Describe what is visible and where it appears instead of making a broad claim that the entire product is defective.
Warehouse QC photographs do not authenticate a shoe or establish its material composition, comfort, durability or safety. They also cannot simulate trying it on. Use photos to resolve observable questions, and avoid treating an attractive picture as proof of overall quality.
Request a useful measurement photo
If sizing remains uncertain, ask whether the warehouse can provide the specific measurement you need and check the current fee. PikoBuy’s shipping terms describe additional detailed photographs as a paid option, but availability and charges should be confirmed in the live order. Make the request before approving the item for international dispatch.
Specify the item, measurement endpoints, unit and required camera view. For a removable insole, ask whether it can be measured flat with the heel and toe ends visible beside the tape. Do not request removal if it would damage the product or invalidate its condition. If removal is unsuitable, ask what alternative measurement is possible and how it should be interpreted.
A useful photograph shows the tape’s starting point, endpoint and units without a hidden bend. Compare it with a reference measured in the same way. For a hypothetical example, an insole reading of 27 cm cannot be directly compared with a foot-length chart entry of 27 cm as though both guarantee the same fit. The purpose of the measurement must match.
Decide before international shipping
If the pair matches the ordered specification and the available measurements are acceptable, document that decision and then plan the parcel. If a size label is wrong, a shoe is missing or a critical measurement conflicts with confirmed seller guidance, raise the specific discrepancy promptly. Keep the listing evidence and warehouse photos together so support can compare the request with what arrived.
Returns and exchanges depend on current eligibility, seller consent, condition and timing. PikoBuy’s published returns terms describe a five-day, 120-hour window for eligible warehoused items beginning from the next hour after warehousing; check the live policy and order promptly. Do not assume every product can be returned or that every return is free. International dispatch makes the decision substantially harder to reverse.
Consider packaging only after resolving the keep-or-return decision. Retaining a box may help preserve presentation and some protection but can add volume; removing it may reduce bulk while exposing the shoes to different risks. Compare the final route quote and packing options for the actual parcel. Save the pair’s photographs, size information and parcel record until delivery, then inspect the received goods before discarding packaging.
