How buying through PikoBuy works
PikoBuy’s public beginner guide describes support for product sources such as Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Weidian and Yupoo. A buyer can paste a product link or search with keywords, select the product details, pay for the purchase, wait for warehouse inspection, choose an international route, submit the parcel and track delivery.
The platform acts between the buyer, the original seller, the warehouse and international logistics providers. This creates two major transactions. The first covers the product purchase and related seller-to-warehouse costs. The second happens after the item is stored and covers the international parcel based on its final contents, packing and route.
Understanding that separation prevents the most common beginner mistake: assuming the first checkout includes final delivery to the buyer’s home. It usually cannot, because the final packed weight, dimensions and eligible route are not known until the warehouse stage.
Step 1: Find and verify the product
Start with a complete source link whenever possible. PikoBuy’s public home page advertises link, image and sourcing search. A direct listing is usually easier to audit because it preserves the seller, available variants, price and product information. If a Yupoo page or image does not expose a purchasable listing, the platform may need a manual or sourcing request.
Before importing a product, save the original URL and capture the selected evidence. Record the seller name, listing title, current price, color, size, quantity, included pieces and any seller notes. Product listings can change after purchase; a saved snapshot makes it easier to explain a discrepancy later.
Do not choose a variant from the picture alone. Read the option labels and size information. For clothing, compare garment measurements rather than assuming a familiar regional size. For shoes, verify the seller’s sizing system and the exact option. For electronics, liquids, cosmetics, batteries, food and branded goods, anticipate route restrictions before paying.
Evaluate the product separately from the source’s popularity. A frequently shared W2C link can still be outdated, out of stock or changed to a different variant. The order you authorize should match the current listing evidence, not a social-media caption.
Step 2: Import the link and build the order
- Paste the product URL. Check that PikoBuy resolves the expected item and seller. If it does not, use the current sourcing or manual-order flow.
- Select the exact variant. Confirm color, size, model and quantity. Put essential seller instructions in the dedicated notes field when one is offered.
- Review the price components. Separate merchandise price, seller-side domestic delivery and any clearly displayed service or payment amounts.
- Confirm restricted-product risk. A purchasable item is not automatically eligible for every international route.
- Save the order summary. Preserve the source link, selected options, displayed amounts and payment time.
Use concise notes that a purchasing agent can verify. “Black, size 42, listing option B” is actionable. A long narrative with conflicting preferences can create ambiguity. If the listing itself does not support the requested option, ask before paying rather than relying on the note to change the product.
After payment, watch whether the order is being processed, purchased, shipped by the seller or moving domestically. These are purchasing and China-delivery stages. They are not international parcel tracking.
Step 3: Understand why there can be two shipping charges
The seller normally has to send the item to PikoBuy’s warehouse inside China. That domestic delivery can be included in the listing price or shown as a separate amount. Later, PikoBuy prepares an international parcel from the warehouse to the buyer’s destination. These are two different routes, handled at different times.
| Cost layer | When it appears | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Product | First checkout | The selected merchandise |
| China domestic delivery | Order stage | Seller to PikoBuy warehouse |
| Warehouse services | Order or parcel stage | Optional photos, handling or packing shown live |
| International freight | Parcel submission | Warehouse to destination network |
| Destination costs | Import or delivery | Applicable tax, duty or carrier handling |
PikoBuy’s public shipping estimator uses destination, product type, weight and dimensions. Those values may be provisional before the item arrives, so estimate a range. After final packing, compare the actual parcel details and current eligible routes before paying the second shipment charge.
Also record the settlement currency and payment amount. Exchange rates and payment-provider charges can make a bank-statement total differ from the platform display. Reconcile the transaction rather than attributing every difference to the product or freight price.
Step 4: Review the warehouse item before shipping
When the item reaches the warehouse, match it to the order record. Check the variant, quantity and visible condition in the supplied photographs. QC images reduce uncertainty about observable details, but they do not authenticate a product or prove material composition, durability or internal performance.
Use a category-specific inspection. Clothing needs size-tag, measurement, stitching, print and visible-damage checks. Shoes need both shoes, labels, outsole, heel alignment and pair balance. Bags need corners, straps, hardware, closures and lining. Electronics require special caution because a photograph cannot prove battery health, electrical safety or long-term function.
If an important detail is outside the frame, use the current extra-photo or measurement option if its value exceeds the fee. State exactly what the new image should show. “Measure insole heel to toe with the tape visible” is more useful than “more QC.”
Act promptly on a return decision. PikoBuy’s current public returns terms state that items marked “in warehouse” generally require a return or exchange request within five days, or 120 hours, subject to seller consent and eligibility. Verify the current terms on the order because policies can change.
Step 5: Submit the international parcel
Once every intended item is ready and acceptable, select the warehouse goods for consolidation. Confirm the delivery country and address, choose only the packing services needed for a defined risk, and compare the available routes for the complete parcel.
Do not compare routes using only scale weight. A carrier can use volumetric weight for a light but bulky box. Review the final dimensions, actual weight, route-specific billing rule, restrictions, tracking and displayed delivery range. PikoBuy’s current shipping terms describe carrier services as third-party transportation and identify risks such as customs, force majeure and route limitations; the live checkout is the final transaction evidence.
After parcel payment, save the parcel number, route, paid amount, packed weight, dimensions and dispatch time. PikoBuy’s beginner guide says tracking information may be available within three days after shipment. Keep the platform parcel status separate from public carrier scans, especially during early handoff.
At delivery, compare the parcel with the saved contents list before discarding packaging. Photograph visible external damage and preserve labels if a support request may be needed.
Practical safeguards for a first PikoBuy order
- Test the workflow with a manageable order before building a large consolidation.
- Save the source listing, variant, price and seller details at checkout.
- Estimate seller-to-warehouse and international shipping as separate costs.
- Screen restrictions before buying batteries, liquids, cosmetics or oversized goods.
- Review warehouse photographs promptly and describe discrepancies objectively.
- Do not submit a parcel until every selected item is acceptable to keep.
- Compare current routes for the exact destination, packed weight and dimensions.
- Declare goods accurately and plan for destination-side uncertainty.
- Preserve order, parcel, payment and tracking records through delivery.
A careful first order is less about finding the cheapest visible product and more about keeping each decision reversible until the evidence is good enough. Product selection, warehouse approval and international shipping are separate checkpoints; use all three.
