INDEPENDENT BUYER GUIDES

How to Cancel a PikoBuy Purchase or Request a Return

The right action depends on the order stage. A purchase that has not shipped from the seller is different from an item already delivered to the warehouse or a parcel already dispatched internationally.

First identify where the PikoBuy order is

“Cancel,” “return” and “refund” are not interchangeable. Cancellation normally describes stopping a purchase before the seller has completed shipment. A return describes sending received goods back to the seller. A refund is the money movement that may follow an accepted cancellation, return or dispute. The order stage determines which path is available.

Open the individual order and record its status, payment time, seller dispatch evidence, domestic tracking, warehouse check-in time and whether a parcel has been submitted. Do not rely only on a notification or a translated status copied several days earlier. A seller can move from processing to shipped while a request is being reviewed.

Never submit an unwanted warehouse item in an international parcel simply to advance the workflow. Resolve the after-sales decision first. International dispatch adds transport, customs and return complexity that may exceed the item value.

How to request cancellation before seller shipment

If the order has not been placed or the seller has not shipped, use the cancellation or after-sales control shown on the current order page. Select the specific order and item quantity. Give a short, accurate reason such as wrong size, duplicate order, buyer no longer wants the item or seller unable to dispatch. Do not combine unrelated orders into one vague request.

  1. Capture the status. Save the order number, item, variant, payment time and a screenshot of the current shipment state.
  2. Use the order-level action. Start from the affected order rather than a general chat whenever the interface offers a cancellation control.
  3. State the requested outcome. Ask to stop purchase or seller shipment and refund the eligible amount.
  4. Wait for confirmation. A submitted request is not the same as an accepted cancellation. Monitor whether the seller ships or the status changes.
  5. Reconcile the refund. Record the approved amount, destination balance or payment method and completion time.

PikoBuy’s current returns terms distinguish goods that have not been shipped. They state that if the product has not yet been shipped, there is no return fee. That does not mean every submitted request is instantly final; the live order state and actual processing determine what can still be stopped.

If domestic tracking already exists, cancellation may require seller consent or carrier interception. Do not assume that a missing first scan means the seller has not handed over the parcel. Ask for the current dispatch evidence and keep the request open until the platform confirms the result.

How to request a return after warehouse arrival

Once an item is marked in the warehouse, inspect its photographs and order details immediately. Compare the received color, size, quantity and visible condition with the purchase record. If the seller sent the wrong product or there is visible damage, identify the exact discrepancy and reference the relevant image. If the item is correct but you no longer want it, classify the request honestly as an unconditional or buyer-choice return if that option is available.

PikoBuy’s public returns terms currently say that users requesting a return or exchange for goods marked “in warehouse” generally need to apply within five days, or 120 hours. The terms also state that seller consent is required and list situations that may be ineligible, including customized goods, used or altered goods, missing labels or accessories, and other seller or product restrictions. Always read the live terms attached to the order because the public policy can be revised.

From the affected warehouse order, choose the after-sales or return control, select the quantity and provide the reason. Upload only useful evidence: a warehouse photograph with the problem identified, the ordered variant, measurements when relevant and seller listing evidence saved at purchase. Avoid editing an image in a way that hides context.

Do not wait until parcel submission to decide. The return clock may be tied to warehouse status, not the date you first open the photographs. Record the check-in time and the time the request was submitted.

Check eligibility, seller consent and current fees

A return request can involve several costs: a platform service charge, domestic return delivery, seller deductions, and non-refundable payment or conversion differences. PikoBuy’s current public terms list an unconditional-return service fee of RMB 5 plus shipping costs, while stating no fee if the product has not yet been shipped. These are current published terms, not a permanent price guarantee; confirm the amount displayed for the actual request before approval.

The presence of a return button does not prove that the seller must accept every reason. Review whether the listing is custom, presale, perishable, sealed for hygiene, missing required packaging, or otherwise restricted. Keep tags, accessories and packaging intact while the decision is pending. Do not wear, wash, modify or combine the product with another parcel.

Compare the expected refund with the cost of returning the item. A low-value product can produce a small net refund after domestic return costs, but that calculation should be visible rather than assumed. If the seller sent the wrong or damaged item, present clear evidence and ask how responsibility for fees will be determined under the current terms.

Before confirming: write down the gross item amount, every displayed deduction, expected net refund and where the refund will be credited.

What evidence makes a cancellation or return easier to review

  • Order number and the exact affected product, variant and quantity.
  • Payment timestamp and current order or warehouse status.
  • Seller dispatch status and domestic tracking number, when present.
  • Warehouse check-in time and unedited QC photographs.
  • A copy of the selected listing options from the time of purchase.
  • Measurements or close-up images tied to a specific discrepancy.
  • The time the cancellation or return request was submitted.
  • The requested resolution: cancel, return, exchange or correct a missing item.

Use observable language. “The warehouse size tag shows M; the order record shows L” is stronger than “the item looks wrong.” “The left sleeve has a visible tear in photo three” is more actionable than “bad quality.” Keep subjective preference separate from objective mismatch because eligibility and fee responsibility may differ.

For communication, keep one chronological thread. If support asks for another image or confirmation, respond in the same case when possible. Save the response, seller decision, return tracking and warehouse dispatch evidence until the money is reconciled.

Track the refund as a separate transaction

An accepted cancellation or return closes the goods decision, but it may not complete the financial movement immediately. Record the approved refund amount, date, destination and reference. Depending on the selected process, funds may return to a platform balance or follow the original payment route. Use the actual transaction record rather than assuming the destination.

Separate the original product amount from shipping, service charges and exchange effects. If the original payment was converted from another currency, the final amount on a bank statement can differ because of exchange rates or payment-side fees. Compare the platform refund record with the balance or statement that actually received it.

If the refund is missing, provide the approval record, refund reference, amount, destination and elapsed business days. First determine whether PikoBuy has issued it or whether the payment provider is still processing it. Avoid initiating a payment dispute while a valid platform resolution is actively progressing unless the facts and applicable deadlines require escalation; conflicting processes can complicate reconciliation.

Mistakes that reduce the chance of a clean resolution

  • Waiting past a warehouse return window before reviewing QC evidence.
  • Assuming a request is accepted while the seller continues dispatch.
  • Submitting an unwanted item in an international parcel.
  • Selecting a false defect reason for a preference-based return.
  • Removing tags, packaging or accessories before the seller’s decision.
  • Ignoring domestic return delivery and service deductions.
  • Opening multiple cases with inconsistent explanations.
  • Checking only the order status and never reconciling the actual refund.

The fastest path is usually the narrowest accurate request: one order, one stage, one reason, supporting evidence and a clearly stated outcome. Current order controls and terms always take priority over a general guide.

Fact-check basis
